If you use the bus regularly, the Waltti bus card is often the most affordable and convenient payment method. Waltti works in two ways: you can load value or a season tickets onto it. Value is used to pay for individual trips, while the season ticket allows you to travel unlimitedly within your chosen zones during the season ticket's validity period. You can, of course, load both types onto the same card and use either one depending on your travel needs.
With a Waltti bus card, you can travel:
- On local transport in Kuopio and Siilinjärvi on routes 1-40.
- On rural transport routes 42-86.
- On regional transport routes 50, 55, 60, 70, 76, and 90

For travel outside the Kuopio region's public transport zones, you must purchase a ticket from the transport operator.
- Personal Waltti bus card

Only the cardholder can use a personal card. However, the cardholder can use the value loaded onto the card to pay for the travel of several people in the same or lower age group when traveling with them for the entire journey. And don't worry if you lose your card. The ticket products loaded onto it can be transferred to a new card.
If you are entitled to a special ticket that can be loaded onto a Waltti card, you will need a personal Waltti travel card to use it.
- Multi-user Waltti bus card

A multi-user Waltti bus card can be used by several people in the same age group. When using the card as a value ticket, it can be used to pay for the travel of several passengers. Season tickets can only be used one at a time. Please take good care of your card, as it is equivalent to cash. If the card is lost, the money cannot be refunded to you.

You can load your travel card with any amount up to €500 and use the value to pay for individual journeys. The value does not expire and remains available for use as long as there is sufficient credit on the card.
Your value card is pre-set for the zones in which you mainly travel. If you use the card outside these zones, select an exceptional journey when boarding or inform the driver.
With a valut ticket, you can also travel anywhere in Finland on Waltti transport. Always check the prices and benefits on the public transport website for the area where you intend to travel.
- Season ticket

A season ticket is the best choice for regular travelers! Once your Waltti travel card has been loaded, you can travel unlimitedly within the zones specified on the card during the season ticket's validity period. The ticket becomes valid from the first time it is used.
- Purchasing and topping up a travel card

The new Waltti travel card costs €5. The card can be purchased from the online store and from ticket sales and service points. You can also purchase the ticket products you want for the card at the same time. A service fee specific to the point of sale will be charged when purchasing the card.
Waltti-shop
You can easily order and load your personal Waltti bus card in the online store without any service fees. To place an order, you will need your online banking credentials and an email address. Card orders in Kuopio are processed within three business days, after which they are mailed to your address. When you top up your card in the online store, your purchase will be available immediately.
Service and ticket sales points
You can purchase a personal or multi-user bus card from service and ticket sales points. A service fee is charged for the purchase, which varies depending on the sales point.
