Changes to ticket prices and introducing contactless payment

Bus ticket prices will change when summer services start on June 5, 2023. At the same time, we are introducing contactless payment as a new payment option for single tickets.

With the upcoming price changes, mobile ticket and contactless payment prices will be reduced to the same level as value tickets. With this change we want to guide passengers to use faster payment methods and thus make traffic smoother. The introduction of contactless payment is a significant development step that passengers have been hoping for a long time.

A daily payment ceiling will also be introduced for contactless payments, so that the customer does not have to plan their daily trips in advance.

However, we must raise ticket prices at the same time. The price increases apply to all tickets for all travel areas. The prices of single tickets bought on the bus with cash will increase proportionally the most.

Example of new prices for adults on AB zone:

• Value ticket, mobile ticket and contactless payment 2,70€
• Single tickets with cash 3,80€
• Season ticket (30 days) 58€

Bus ticket prices have practically remained at the same level since 2015, while operating costs have increased 20% during this time. By increasing ticket prices, we can ensure that the service level is maintained, and we don't have to make cuts to the bus departures.
